Sustainability & Circularity
Proven technologies that pay for themselves, evaluated on energy, cost and payback for plants that are already running.
Sustainability spending is often booked as a compliance cost. We treat it as an engineering investment: every technology we recommend has to stand on its own business case: lower energy cost, recovered heat, secured market access.
We evaluate, select and integrate proven technologies into operating plants. Every assessment starts with the plant's own energy and material balance, and every recommendation is backed by transparent technical and economic assumptions.
From Assessment to Measured Impact
Industrial Heat Decarbonization
Process heat is the hardest industrial emission to abate, and for most plants the largest. We work with European thermal energy storage manufacturers to evaluate the business case, size the system and integrate it into the plant.
- Two charging routes — low-cost renewable or off-peak electricity, or waste heat already leaving the plant through flue gas, exhaust or cooling streams
- Delivering steam, hot air, thermal oil or hot water, from around 150 °C to process temperatures above 1,000 °C, with the storage technology selected to match the duty
- Sized against the electricity price curve, allowing the system to charge when power is inexpensive while maintaining uninterrupted process operation
- Flexible commercial models — purchase, lease or Heat-as-a-Service, where the technology provider owns the asset and the plant pays only for the delivered heat
Our scope: feasibility studies and business cases, comparison and selection of storage technologies, plant integration engineering, and owner's-side project delivery through performance testing. Learn more about our partners →
Energy Efficiency & Heat Recovery
Before storing heat, stop losing it.
Heat integration, utility optimization and waste-heat recovery are evaluated first, reducing both energy demand and the size — and cost — of the electrification investment that follows.
Supply Chain Data & Scope 3
For most food and beverage producers, the majority of carbon emissions occur outside the plant. Scope 3 typically represents the largest share of the total footprint, with agricultural production accounting for most of it. Meaningful reduction starts with primary data rather than industry averages.
- Carbon footprint calculated from actual field activities rather than sector benchmarks
- Supplier traceability and grower-to-processor connectivity
- CSRD, MRV and reporting modules for corporate agri-food programs
- Regenerative agriculture protocols measured and verified over multiple growing seasons
xFarm Technologies provides a European farm management platform used by more than 600,000 farmers across 12.6 million hectares, connecting field operations, agronomy and supply-chain data. Sustainability is only one application within a much broader operational platform. Learn more about our partners →
Circular Economy
By-product valorization, side-stream upgrading and waste-to-value concepts are evaluated with the same engineering and financial discipline as any capital project. Opportunities are screened for technical feasibility, market value and investment return, and discarded when the business case does not hold.
